Enable an option for just backing up SQL Logs

Currently the option to backup and truncate SQL logs exists. However it would be great to have the option to just backup SQL logs.
Many customers run a daily full or incremental of the SQL server with backup and truncate SQL logs enabled.
An option to run just SQL Log backups would mean the possibility of more frequent log backups (such as hourly) to enable a lower recovery point objective via point in time recovery using the logs protected.
